Default anyone swap LSD into their 95-99 Legacy?

what do you need? easy diy job? if getting parts from GC or new age RS, do we need to get correct axles as well? what about newer GT?

I have seem Wayne's page.. doesn't look too bad..

thanks

etam - if your GT is 4EAT, the (MY97-99)GT LTD as well as OB LTD (iirc) had the rear LSD which you can just swap out and use your existing axles.

If you use a MY00-01 RS rear LSD, you need the rear axles.
Same w/ MY00-up GT rear LSD.

I got stick.. 4.11.. where to get one for reasonable price in Canada? there are not that many junk yard in Canada which stock Subaru stuff.

Or I should just forget about it and when the engine die.. just get the entire engine and drivetrain swap in?

well if you have a manual then go for it. and then when your motor dies you do the swap and dont worry about swaping the trany. would save some time.

I've done the swap and the RS axles are 'optional' not 'required' for a rear lsd swap from a MT 2.5RS
