Post new WRX and old RS

Just a question... but I'm hearing that the new RS has the same engine as my MY00 2.5rs, but it will have the chassis of the new WRX. So with that said does that mean that the new WRX engines could be swapped into our old RS's? Wouldn't the mounts be the same?
just a thought

It is the same block. The 2.5 is just bored and stroked. Same bell housing holes Same mounts. The engine would drop str8 into a old RS engine bay. You would need to use the WRX computer and wiring harnees to make it all run
