Default 1978 Fun Wheels Subaru BRAT Go Kart

This place IS dead, so here is my weak attempt at a resurrection.

Behold! My new-to-me barn find BRAT go kart! Running a 3 hp Briggs 90702 engine, one wheel drive, one wheel brake. All original (maybe not the engine) except for the body mounting hardware and the piece of wood I sit on, since the seller forgot to mention the OG seat was busted...

Anyway, this thing is a BLAST and gets thumbs up everywhere it goes!

Bring it to WCSS! Hmmm do you think you could install a BRAT jump seat as your drivers seat??

I was already planning to do so! It seemed to be pretty popular at the Old School Reunion.

I think the BRAT seat might be too tall to clear the body. It's already a bit hard to get into. I was mulling over extending the front of the frame to give myself a bit more leg room (The frame is MUCH shorter than the body).

I am hoping that we can get an "other" class this year at WCSS... so this go-kart might fall under that category. (along with Tribecas, Justys, Fuji Rabbits, etc)
