That is an awesome time Andre. Congrats! I updated the 1/4 mile registry.

BTW: I had trouble showing your mods in the members base because the members base isn't loading up. So I just linked your car to this message so people can see your mods. Take care!

Sweet! That's awesome to see an RS in the 14s solidly being N/A. Just to ask.....how does the car feel on the top end? I just pulled out my last timeselip, a 15.9@87.14--a MY99 with intake, exhaust, UD pulley, S-AFC. With the cams and heads I kinda expected a car to pull more than 89, but maybe they are tuned more for mid range? I have been pleasently surprised how well my car pulls past 100 now with the intake, how do the cams and heads feel? I did notice that you went right at 4mph faster through the 1/8th though......awesome midrange. Compared to stock, how do you think the powerband moved? Thanks

Well I can speak for the cams only, but my car just PULLS at about 3800rpm on up to redline. It doesn't feel like its dropping off in power either. The revlimiter is the undoing for the cams, it seems. I don't know how the heads affect the power delivery, but I would assume it just pulls harder in the upper revs (better breathing). Headers enhance the torque in the midrange, and the tube style intake will lose torque down low, but add more hp up top.

[EDIT] forgot the CONGRATS on the time!

Nat, it's good you mentioned your time in comparison. You said he was 4mph faster than your time at half-track (1/8th) but he was only 2mph faster than you in the 1/4. It sounds like to me that your car has a better top end than the cam/cylinder head one even though he has a better time. Based on your mph, that says that eventually you'll catch him, albeit slowly. What's your thoughts on this?

He wanted me to tell you guys that since he's on at the top of the N/A's to spell his name correctly. Andres Rodriguez.

As far as the custom intake. It has been tested on two cars, one car had it as the only mod. It lost none down low and dropped a full second off the 1/4 mile. ET w/ CAI 15.3
The other was Andres' very modded car. Doesn't seem to lose any down low. If you want one PM Subpreza. Price $220 filter included.

I'm getting mine next week

Great time slip Andres!

Cobb sure knows how to tune those Imprezas in TX.

We have the "Bent Valve Trophy" for the fastest Impreza RS Turbo, how about something for the fastest NA Impreza? The Broken Cam Trophy or something?

sweet times. any of you guys use g-tech compared to the track times. i never got timed at a track, but obtained a 15.8 in the 1/4 and 6.8 in the 0-60 on the g-tech. from what i heard it's around 1/10th accurate so you be the judge. Do i have false hope?

*edit* and if i remember correctly, the 1/4 mile speed was at 92.1 mph.

Gtech's will give 3-4 mph higher trap speeds than what you would see at a track from what I hear.

GTech speed will be higher because at the track your speed is an average of the speed on the last 60(?) feet, whereas the GTech gives you the actual speed when you hit the end of the 1/4.

Kevin.....I guess we should also take into condsideration weather conditions. My run was in the fall up here in PA, while he is in TX. I had a nice night, low humidity and temp, decent pressure as well. I don't think my car would catch him in the long run, at least I hope not. Looking at the dyno runs with the cams and everything, they should make power all the way to redline, and I think the increase in power would make a siginificant difference in the higher gears. Anyone else with cams taken their car to the track?
