Question Touchup paint - Recommendations?

I got a small door ding (about 1/8" diameter) and was wondering if anyone has used a particular touchup paint that they have had good results with. I hate the thought of my Scooby not being protected and not having a nice even coat.

Thanks,

Keenan

You can get the official Subaru touchup paint from the dealer. It comes in little bottles like fingernail polish. I forget how much it cost, but I don't think it was too outrageous.

I don't think $7 is that outrageous. I got some at the dealer and it was in stock.

I just bought some SRP touchup paint from our local Subaru dealer (Chilsons) and it was somewhere in the $5 range for the bottle.

Heh, that was part of my deal when buying it. I wanted a bottle of touch-up paint with the car. Took like a month and a half on order but I finally got it for free too.

Le'see, what was the procedure for using touchup paint properly?

Degrease spot to be painted.
Apply touchup paint to area, but not to edges.
Allow to dry.
Buff spot with a mild polish.

Apply car wax.

I've got a large spot I want to touchup later this month when it gets warmer and I just want to make sure this will work.
