Default WRX LSD swap

I don't know about the USDM n/a Imprezas, but over here the n/a Imprezas don't have a limited slip rear diff.
Would it be a straight swap from a WRX to my GX ?
(gear ratios between WRX and the GX are different, but the final drive ratio are both 3,900)

Here subaru uses a R160 differentail. If it's the same there then all you would have to do i just swap out the internals and make one or just bolt it in provided the axles are the same. Sometimes they are different.

Well the USDM WRX has a 3.90 final drive ratio, however the center diff has a 1.1 reduction for the rear requiring a 3.545 rear differential.

To know if they are interchangable, you would need to find out what the final drive ratio is for each car and then what the final drive ratio is on each rear differential. This information can be found in the FSMs.
