Post Looking for wagon pictures...

I've decided that I want to get an Impreza wagon. I told this to my girlfriend-and she about beat me. She was going on and on about how ugly they were, and how I can't get one. Mind you she drives a 1995 Saturn WAGON. She claims to have seen a white one that did not look good, and I was hoping people here would have some great pictures to help calm her down.

Thankies much.

http://www.subaru.com has a couple of '02 wagon pics in the "2002 Imprezas" announcement page. And there are lots of WRX wagon pics floating around this board. Try http://www.raindrop.com/subaru for a gallery with lots of WRX wagon pics.

Look under yahoo.com, click clubs, then list Outback Sport. They have a photo gallery that's easy to use. I can't remember if you have to be a memer to view, but just join. Free of course, and like this club, you'll learn alot about the Outback Sport. And there's a picture of MY car there, too!

Thanks! Anyone have more pictures of the converted wagon? I know I saw on here a picture of it once that had a better view of the car, I think that one would push her over the edge.

Lix - Yup, thats Hank's wagon. Sweet sweet car. He made it to the MWSOC's autocross in October. A surprise appearance and everyone loved it (I know there was more then a little bit of drooling going on there too ).

Leonardo-

If you're refering to Hank's wagon, I think it's a Syms body kit.

speaking of wagons ..
is there any MY's to avoid or problems to be aware of in older impreza wagons (~94-97ish)... I am interested in picking up a used OBS and couldn't find much about the older OBS's ?

Thanks,
Brad

Brad

I've had 2 '95 impreza outback wagons (they were called that until 98 when they became OBS) with no complaints. I recommend the automatic since the mileage really doesn't differ, no real difference in performance and its much smoother for urban driving. The 99-00 had occasional clutch trouble due to a batch of clutches that had throwout bearing failure (one piece assembly) but those usually squauk at 10-20k and a replaced with no further problems). Subarus are at the top for reliability and longevity....take this from a guy who's put more than 300k on toyota supras and toy 4x4 trucks-the gold standard for such things. Used 93-96 wagons are a little harder to find...people buy Suby's to keep...but there are a lot more 98-00 out there due to lease programs. Contrary to the wishes of 99% of the folks here Suby's do not hold their used car prices like other marque's but they are an incredible value used. Best Wishes on becoming a proud Subarite.

Willman with the fearsome Bone Stock '99 OBS...except for the trailer hitch which adds .2 in the quarter.
