Post Help me decide whether or not to keep the Subaru

The RS is quite a car, but lacking in size and power. I'm leaning towards trading in the RS for a second generation Acura Legend.

Help me decide if I should stick with the subie, or go for the Acura.
Also are there any problems with the Legends?

The Legend won't be any faster in a straight line (& definitely not in the corners!) unless it's a GS coupe with the 6 speed.

Exclamation

You want more size and power? What about a WRX? Has 4 doors, room inside, and 227HP. Sounds like just what you're looking for

The price for the WRX will be a stretch for me. Don't forget the insurance costs, under 25, male, turbo...

Unhappy

Yeah, I can see how that would be a problem. Too bad you can't sell kidney's on eBay!

Legend! Bah... keep the RS dude. need more speed? put an exhaust on there and some cams - that's not too expensive. Put some tires on there as well (actually I don't know - you might have some mods already)

Then learn how to drift it around some corners, THEN go look at the Legend and make your choice... keep the RS - it's a lot of fun.

Or get a used 325 - rwd, inline six, and you get the BMW prestige, if that's your thing.

edit - oh yeah, that really doesn't address the size issue... mmm... you could always get a legacy instead

Man why did you buy the RS in the first place? you shouldn't forget why. Listen man, don't listen to your friends who make fun of your RS. If you really want it to go fast, you'll have to add a turbo, hands down.

If you don't want to do that, your SOL, get a 2001 se maxima, or sentra (they have the old se-r engines in them now). legends are hella fast too. But just remember all these cars are good, but in a straight line.

I bet you haven't even taken your car out on the dirt. Once or thrice won't hurt as long as you clean in, which you do, and I bet you baby it like it was your first born. Don't trip foo, the RS has it's beauty, it's just not it drags or in space.

If you want size and power get a used Trans Am. Try to get one with WS6 suspension and your gold. I'd trade my Subaru any day for one of those bad boys. Then when that seems too slow stick a simple $3k supercharger on it and get over 550hp.

I know what you mean man, I'm 22 and the insurance is crazy on the WRX. thats why I can't get one. But with my TURBO kit for a 98+ 2.5RS was on your car you would smoke a new WRX at just $2,500. LOL

Anyhow, I'm interested in knowing what you do end up picking cuz I'm in the same boat, except I don't have my RS anymore (crash) so I get to pick WHAT to get.

Two words for ya...Legacy GT. If you can find an MY 98, it will be lighter than the current generation, cheap to insure, and will have all the room you need without much less performance (in the manual) than your RS.

I show all sorts of "bigger, faster" vehicles my taillights on a regular basis, and these cars are eminently tunable.

That's if you want to stay in the Subaru family.
