Question If EVO was sold, what would happen to the club?

Just thought of this after reading yet another "I would buy the EVO over the WRX any day" comment.

Personally, I would probably skip right over and buy the EVO if it was sold, right along many of the other people on this board. Would we incorporate EVO into the I-Club somehow?

Just thought it would be an interesting discussion.

Nah, there'll be a new club.

Unless iClub becomes more of a AWD rally car-like site.

Even though I'm a scoobie newbie, and personally would get the EVO over the WRX,
I wouldn't drop the I-CLUB for anything. I feel as though you are like my second family.

Love you guys!

Depends on the price I guess. I'd probably get an Audi.

If we could afford another car, I could almost guarantee that it would be another RS, which I would not have a problem w/ at all
And there is always going to be the die hard subie people who would still be here, so I really don't see this club going away.

I guess I qualify as die hard. If I were GIVEN a Ferrari I would swap it out for a 22B. If a Diablo cost 1$ less than a P1 I would have a P1.

hehe you're cool pipercub, you don't hear that from too many people. But you're right
The subies are way more versatile than the ferrari or the diablo.
Don't usually see people trying to rally either one of those or try to drive them in extreme weather ,like snow ^_~

I dont think I would ever give up Subie.
If I actually won a lamborgini or a ferrari, I would sell it and get several scubies
I'm too brainwashed to go with another brand.

I would stay with Subaru all the way.
I have a hard time believing that most people here only bought a Subaru because something "better" wasnt available.
I love Subarus, and I won't be turned to the dark side!!!

I like what some of you are saying... I'm a die hard Subaru fan and don't even have one yet. I'm waiting to graduate from University (2 years) to get my WRX! Even if the EVO came here, I'd still get the WRX, cause I wouldn't have liked the EVO if it weren't for the WRX, they were similar cars in design and engine specs etc... but something about the Impreza made me like it more... That's just my opinion on it.

Call me crazy, but I'd take a Ferrari over a 22b or a Lamborgini over a P1

Well I hate to say it but here in the next couple weeks I might be buying a Evo7. Why? Why the hell not! Its $28K out the door! That's cheaper then the current WRX and better. So if a STI model comes out it will definately only get more expensive. Besides the ease of finding parts makes it very tempting.

N/A, damn you for living in Japan! All those cool cars! Arrrgggghh! How much snow do you get where you live? Why not an RX-7? I love those cars. Can't you find a used STi V. VI? Don't buy a Mitsu! Just kidding, I love Evos, too.

Unless we get the STi version before the Evo comes over, I'd buy an Evo. I think it oloks better than the new WRX, after saying that I'd have to drive both to see which feels better.
People, you cant have 22B's and p1's we dont and wont get them in the states. If someone gave me a ferrari or a Lambo I'd be happy as a clam and would drive the snot out of either daily. I would love to have either a 22B or P1...but alas it wont happen.
Im happy with my RS and its mods, and I wont sell it for anything.

umm..i hate to say it but i am leaving the subaru family Work forces it... SO..i was going to have an STI motor'd RS..but instead i am selling off my current RS and parts and motor

Anyhow..if we could get the EVO and i didn't have to upgrade my car to a "status" car (which i dread and lok forward to in a way ) i would stick with my baby. I will always have an Unkindled passion for Subarus..and i am trying to get the G/F to buy one..particularly MINE..so i can drive it and let the beast know i still love 'er (the car ) . man..i miss it already, de-decaled, parts stripped out, tranny gets replaced Tues.

lol..i dread this..but mark my words i will STILL be hanging out on the ICLUB..for this place rules

thanks for the times guys and particularly my subie.

Im with Pipercub, I love scoobies. Thats that, I'd have one next to a 911 if I could though. But other than that, no other cars excite me on US soil anyway.

I am a huge fan of the 22B and the Evo. But Ferrari???? Sorry ya'll I'd take this over any mod, upgrade, super tuning gizmo gadget conversion you can do to any of those cars. Just me though.

I'm a car nut, but I don't like the EVO. I dunno, I truly don't like the way it looks. The older ones were slick (like the one seen in Who Am I?), but the new ones are downright nasty. If the EVO came out, I wouldn't care. I'd stick with the WRX. Also, there's something to be said about Mitsu as a company right now.

Ok, but to just address the topic of this conversation, what would happen if the evo were available here? Well, as N/A so ably pointed out, the evo is available in Japan, and the wrx hasn't gone away. Isn't it the current "Car of the year" in Japan? Coming up with an empirical "this car is better than that one" is kind of difficult, especially when the differences are as small as between wrx and evo.

I definitely won't rag on mitsu though, they tried giving us turbo awd for years, and Americans weren't into it.

They both have merit, and I would love to let the games begin!!

One question though, N/A how do you get that $28k is cheaper than a wrx over there is when they go for $24k here? You talking about the sti, or stira?
