Default Anybody going down to Wildwood for the Classic Car show?

10th Annual NJHRA Wildwood boardwalk classic car show. Check out www.njhra.com The show is awesome every year for all you guys that care about classic cars as much as you care about modern cars and imports. I will be there tonight around 11pm. The show is all day Saturday, 8am-4pm, then Burnouts at 6pm and a flame throwing contest as well.

Best part is, I am getting my car back this afternoon so I can bring it down and get heckled by all the import hating domestic guys, even though I am there to support their cars

Anyway, anyone heading down?

I went, the show was on. About 300 cars in the show versus last years 600 cars, but it was still packed. The action in the streets was still crazy. The best way I can descrive it is like Mardi Gras + 1000 500hp+ cars doing burnouts and rumbling around.

Car is ok, there is a boost leak that I know how to fix, just did not have the means to do it. The window does not seal at all and makes horrible noise at speed, so it is going back for that. The body looks good, few things that I could nit pick about but after all the car has been through I am just happy that I have it back and it looks good as new unless you put it under the microscope. I got new front and rear bumpers, alot of new interior parts (center console, door panel, floor mats, and some other stuff), and the rear quarter panel was resprayed. Like I said, after al the hassle, its just nice to have the car back, even though I got hammered by my insurance company.

Back to Wildwood, I saw an STI with 4 young guys driving around on Saturday and pimping the car/themselves and I saw a yellow WRX haging out with some ricers in a parking lot on Friday night, and I also saw a GC8 RS, dark blue, parked at one of the hotels all weekend.

Anybody here?

Its pretty much hangoverville on SUnday in Wildwood as well. I usually get up early and blast off to beat the traffic.

This year, among all the Cobras (4 authentic ones were there, one signed by Carol Shelby), SS Camaros, GT350s, Judges, etc, there was this gem..........

A Manta Montage.

One of only 90 in the world, not many of those are street legal.

That pic is from the guys website, I did not even get a chance to take a pic of it on the boardwalk, too many people were crowding it. I had seen almost all of the cars there in previous shows, so I did not take too many pics, just a few of my favorite cars (ALL the GT350s *drool*) and some of the crazy things that you come across on the boardwalk. I will post a few more later.
