Default lug conversion

i was wondering if it was at all possible to convert from a 5 lug to a fat single lug like the JGTC race cars have. Also, how hard would it be to find rims for that kind of conversion???

well why would u want to do that? it'd be pretty hard to find wheels I'm not sure if they are even sold to the mass market. maybe volk's has something. if you did do any converison of this sort you'd still keep your 5 lug pattern but you'd need the one big thing in the middle to keep the wheel on. low riders have been doing this sort of style of wheel for a wile with "knock offs" there's a center cap type of deal then lug nuts behind them real wire wheels will have a huge thing in the middle that treds I'm not sure compely how it all works but its somethign to that effect

Default Valid Q

I could see why you would post that question here.

What you want to look for are rims that have a center piece that looks like a huge wheel nut. I think that is what scobaru was saying.

Dodge Vipers do that on their old school 3 spoke rims, and the cap hides the 6x4.5" bolt pattern (pretty rare for cars).

Good luck. For actual wheel adapters, try this place:
Just Air Bag It

They seem to have the most complete collection/variety.

You would have to convert the car to spindle mounts and then find rims that fit it. We have this on some of our race cars. The only places that I know of that makes wheels like that are Bogart and Weld.
