Default Question for the Sube Gurus

I've got an 02' TS and I am thinking about swaping my springs with WRX wagon springs. I know that the spring rate is different and that the two cars weigh almost the same. I reason from this that the spring itself must be shorter on the WRX.

Am I a lunatic or have I got things figured out correctly? Is this a worthwhile endeavor? Please help.
