Cool picture. I haven't seen too many of the RX sedans. Just about all of the RXes I've seen have been the 3 door hatch.

Awesome... RX sedans of the 87+ years are rare as it is... those with the body kits are even rarer (only seen ONE IN PERSON EVER). I have seen afew with no body kit, but they are KINDA common...

If I wasnt so far in debt I would own either an 85 RX sedan or an 87 RX sedan... neither with body kit... but both had the Dual range tranny and rear LSD

The 85 through 86/87 years had a standard dual range fwd/4wd gear box. Then in 87/88 the rx started coming with the fulltime 4wd dual range with a lockable center diff. These had an open center diff which was nice for normal driving, but once you locked it it was just like the old dual range. It defenitly is one of the best subarus I've ever owned, even with the rusted out rear wheel arches and the currently blown motor. I wasn't even really looking for it when I found it. But I found it and the price was right. Needed a little work when I got it, but it is a really fun car.

Ya I know they had different TYPES of dual range, but I belive they both had the same gear reduction (like 1.2) (which isnt much compared to my GL which has like 1.5) Not 100% sure if all RX's had the small gear reduction, I know the full time 4WD ones did, but I have never gone through the spec sheet of an 85/6 before.

Want to buy the factory white hubcaps for your RX? I can get a set from the yard here for about $20

There are like 7 to choose from so I could grab the best 4. They may have some scrapes and stuff, but shouldn't be chipped or cracked.

No thanks. I already have them. I just don't keep them on because they are a serious pain to get off, and with the rallying and rallycrossing I do(did) that could cause problems. Plus I like the black on white look.
