Thumbs up Friend just got back from Tokyo Auto Salon...

My friend just got back and he said that the New Subie WRX was the in thing there!!! Every aftermarket manufacturer had a WRX in their display booth. He took 11 rolls of pics!!! Just got a scanner too, so I will try to get the pics posted ASAP!!!

Yeah, this year the new WRX is the craze at the Auto Salon. Last year it was nothing but Silvias and Altezzas everywhere

You wouldn't think it would have been. Hell I live in the prefecture's capital and there are only a handful driving around. Then again why do they show Honda stuff and there's no point in buying one of those and modifying it here in Japan.

Just curious if anyone else noticed the rear wiper on the silver Blitz sedan? Is this a standard feature? I don't remember seeing it in any other pictures??

[/edit]
Never mind, looks like it's an aftermarket add-on.

Wow! This gauge pod makes the US WRX's pod look like its was made with spray painted cardboard. I must have this pod! STi P/N anybody?

Notice how this pod allows slightly bigger guages than that of the US WRX

Hey look at the interior pics. Those gauge packs look much better than the one they were showing in Detroit. Nice big gauges.. Now how do we get it....

Found this guage pod at the Japanese DEFI website... http://www.nippon-seiki.co.jp/defi/p...ePad/tp_f.html under 'new age impreza'

Should be ~$150 US.

Hey guys, found a great site.

All the Imprezas at the show compiled into one site:
http://car.nifty.com/omake/autosalon2001/main.htm

Of course, don't forgot the main site:
http://ascii24.aleph.co.jp/auto-salon2001/
