Default new sti injectors?

will the new sti injectors work in our cars? because the are side feed as well.

if not, how hard would it be to rig up another set of injectors so that i have 2 per cyl. and then with a % of throttle the others kick in?
i will be running a tec 3 so they can controll the extra injectors, but i was wondering about the physical part of it.

What engine are you running? You can get 440cc side feed off a 90 something WRX (not in the US) I think Z1 said they could get them. There might be aftermarket higher flow as well, I'd ask MRT www.mrtrally.com.au. Or I'd guess that it wouldn't be that hard to get a US WRX intake manifold to fit on your engine. Nate at www.ss-ms.com was talking about doing that, give him try.

tec 3 was 2 grand from austin. they pop up every once in a while for about that much.

you can also get a link plus and road tune it. but they dont pop up very offten. but dont get a link you cant road tune them worth a biach.

special K, yea i know about the 480 yellow injectors, but thought the new sti ones would be better and cheaper. but i was told they are actually bottom feed, but the source will not expand on that idea. so they are some what different

and i am running an ej22t with a 95 ej22 manifold, custom intake....

you can get the wrx intake manifold to work with the ej22T so i might do that and just get an older pair of 550 sti injectors.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=426987

look at this guys set up. he is running an ej22T block and wrx inatke manifold ( dont pay attention to the giant water/air ic)

if i do that then wrx injectors would be used because they are so much easier to get. when i asked the 480 injectors were as much as the 550 sti and that is for used.(cant get new)

What about nissan injectors? I've heard that some will drop right in, and I know nissan and subaru share some other parts as well. Does anybody know which ones will work?

nismo 555 injectors for the tt 350z should be the ones that work. they are for the older like 90 to 96 (not sure on last year?) i will find some and get back to you on if they fit.

if the side-feeds will work then we could also use something like Perrin's fail rail for the STi.

I believe one of the legacycentral guys found that the new STi injectors will fit in a '92-'94 N/A fuel rail, but NOT the turbo rail.

Wow, this is an old thread.

I doubt it, the new STI injectors are really funky. It is easier to just get some nismo 555 injectors and put them into the n/a fuel rail.

We did have a guy over on LC that said the new STI injectors dropped right into the '92-'94 N/A rails. The Nismo injectors should drop into the '92-'94 rails too. The old 440cc yellowtops are supposed to drop right into the above mentioned rails also.

Default New STi Injectors

Are there any suggestions or tips when installing new injectors into an 04' WRX with a Perrin Fuel Rail?
