Default MY cables wont reach?

Put an Optima yellow top in but my cables were too short. What can I do?

Not sure about the terminal position with the Yellow Top but when I installed my Red Top the ground wire reached just fine and so did the positive wire to the fuse box, but the wire to the starter was too short and I had to replace it.
Search for threads on "Optima" with my user name, there are several that discuss this.

yeah i looked at the red top and it seems the terminals are in the same place

Oh yeah been there, done that. You need to go to an auto store and get the materials to make a new line from the posi side to the starter...it is cake...if you don't feel like going undermneath the car, removing the TMIC leaves you with lots of work room.

Another possibility, which I just did with my Exide Orbital install, is to get one of those "green knob" battery cutoff switches, bolt the OEM positive *ring terminal* ends to one end of it and hook the other end over the battery terminal. This gives you an extra 1.5 to 2 inches of length. (just remove the OEM ring terminal ends from the OEM cylindrical battery connector first)
