Default who can do dash light and console color change? (SoCal)

Not sure if this should go in electronics, dress-up or here, but I came up empty in SCIC and it seemed like the kind of thing sounds&security afficianados would know......

I've been reading the extensive posts about people turning their dash & HVAC lighting from green to red and blue, blue seeming to cause the most trouble due to the incompatibility of the yellow lights + blue bulb condoms = aqua.

Being all thumbs and not willing to mess up my baby, even by my own hand, does anyone know of somewhere in SoCal that i could professionally have the whole LED thing done to my car so that my dash all the rest light up blue?

With all of the wild customization I've seen around the LA area, I figure this must be a cakewalk for someone, it's just a matter of finding that someone. I'm hoping I can find them soon, as I am also planning on finally getting my gauges, but have been procrastinating in the hopes of having them all match....

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is bugging anyone

Its actually just a cakewalk...get a few screwdrivers, pull the instrumentation out and swap the bulbs...the LED's plug right in. I'm going to do it in about 2 weeks.

Search for a thread called "Dash Lighting"

I saw the thread (big'un, eh?), but I got the impression that the whole result from changing the lighting to blue was uneven/dim? I seem to recall people having to do things like rig up reflectors or whole sets of smaller leds to distribute light in the HVAC, changing lighting the odometer in the dash from green to blue was an issue, there were bright spots, etc.,etc.

I'll check it again...in the meantime, where are you going to order your blue LEDs from (and the part number, if you don't mind)?

I'll definitely go back to that thread, by the time I was 3/4 the way through the thread, I was pretty dazed, so I may have misread the results.

This is the site I think I liked the best. In that they had actual blue BULBS. Dunno what color they really shine, but the bulb condoms aren't as blue as the coating on these bulbs. Plus they have the wide angle LED's which reduce hotspots and fading. I'm going to try the bulbs first, then go for the LED's if I'm not happy. The bulbs atleast are cheap.
