Smile OBS vs Grand National and 12 second Civic

Buick Grand National

A low 12 second Turbocharged/Intercooled Honda Civic
*Note the huge intercooler bursting out the bumper* A very fast car and he did beat me way at the top end just before we braked.

And remember...I don't condone streetracing in anyway but I know some of us like watching videos. Enjoy!

Hey Kevin-is your setup the same as last time, you know-the video of the Camaro z28 race?

I dont remember the boost-but I think you had a 60hp shot of nitrous.

I think I remember you saying you had something wrong with your auto-did you get it fixed or hopped-up?

Also-is that video sped up? The launch seems like it plays fast, not that I think it isnt possible.

Yes!

Boost still the same (5psi). I don't have an intercooler yet. The Nos jetting is still the same.

Nah! I'm still waiting for RalliSpec to give me the go ahead with their fix.

Also-is that video sped up? The launch seems like it plays fast, not that I think it isnt possible.
I couldn't tell you. I didn't speed it up if it is sped up.

Hey Kevin,

I told you you would give dave a good run he has a humm....little traction problem (remember the long skid markes he left in front of us when he dumped the clutch @ 35mph)If you had not run him all the way up top you would of had him.
I meet some of the PSR peaple @ the H/D on Fri. night. The Wife let me out on friday. I would like to have stayed down there on Sat. but she did not want to stay......*shrug*

Talking

Liquid,

He didn't seem to happy with the run at all and he wants a rematch. I told him after I get my intercooler and my tranny tended to, I would race him again. I can't wait until you get your twin turbo setup. It will be so funny to watch you on the track and wherever else humiliate a lot of people. Lol!

Xscreamer,

I think I saw you driving past me in the opposite direction on Delaware Ave. I was going to say something to you to but I didn't know if you were one of those people who looks at a stranger oddly when approached about Subarus. Yeah, I remember you if that was you.

Kevin,

In spite of myself (the whole illegality of this stuff), I can help but get a big smile whenever I see one of these videos.

Do you ever do some official track stuff, and, if so, what're your times?

"Do you ever do some official track stuff, and, if so, what're your times?"

Sure Radio Flyer! On the dragstrip, I am running in between 15.5-16.2 (depending on the air temperature) without NOS. With NoS I am running between 13.85-14.10. I haven't ran with it really cold yet. Im thinking of taking the car to Cecil County this weekend and get into the 13.6-13.7 range. Rain may prevent this though. If I go, I'll be going on Friday. Will post updated timeslip in the members pic section if I do better. I have my best run there now.

Eric "yeah. where do you find a place to do that without the cops knowing about it.?" You don't! Simple as that. It's just that 100's of people can gather in a matter of minutes at any point in time. It's fascinating to watch how so many people come out of nowhere at any given spot. I'd stay away from the races though. I've been going to the track lately but I was just going up there to meet some friends. Sounds like a crack head saying they went to the crack house to stop other people from smoking doesn't it? *sigh*

I also wanted to run that 12 second Civic to see how my car would fair in a stoplight battle. There are a couple of Vipers up there every now and then. I'd like to try that next sometime.

How many trannys have you been through? There is a pretty big street racing scene here in orlando, but out of fear of transmission damage, i'm leary to participate. I have a 5spd.
