I do like the no sales tax thought though... You guys will probably be where I get my cams from In like two years when I'm ready for cams..

Someone really does answer your questions via the IM they have on their site. I talked to a Rick C. Not sure if that is just a name they use but he was a lot of help. He did not push parts on me either. We discussed my goals and my choices of parts and he let me know if I was on the right path and if I had unnecessary parts that I do not need. Pretty cool when someone from a store tells you to stop rather then see $$$$ pouring out of my bank account.

My fiance ordered me a greddy SE exhaust and it came Super fast and excellent priced. No problems with RSD but greddy needs to pack the exhaust better, had a pretty good size ding on the piping. Will continue business with you all. Thanks.

Just order 2 sets of Work RS lug nuts from Rally Sport Direct. 1 for me and 1 for my brother.

Wow, no reviews since March?

Just placed my first order finally for some brake pads. Bummed out that I wasn't able to use the Labor Day coupon. But the pads were still priced well and I was very impressed with how quickly I was able to reach someone via the Live Chat. I also appreciate that they are close to Montana and I can get stuff quickly!

Unfortunately, I retract my above comments. I attempted to work through an issue with one of your live chat agents who unfortunately was not willing to remedy my situation at all. They were rather unprofessional and told me that the reason why I was left hanging in the chat session for an hour waiting for him to respond was because he was "dragged into a meeting."

The jist of the situation? The Stoptech brake pads I bought which were specified to fit my 2006 WRX, actually do not fit correctly if you are running a 2 piece rotor. In a set of front pads, Stoptech includes squeal tabs on all 4 pads. Hawk pads only have squeal tabs on the inside pad. I run DBA 5000 rotors up front and due to the way the rotors are, having squeal tabs on the outside pad causes a clearance issue and caused some damage to my rotor.

It wasn't until after I reported the issue during my live chat, that additional information was added to the Product Description stating that modification to the brake pad would be necessary for 2 piece rotors. No attempt was made at any resolution and I was basically told "tough luck" and to contact DBA.

Here's a photo of what I'm talking about. You can see the red marks on the brake tab where the red of the rotor was rubbing. I had to grind down the tab .

I just responded to your email but I will reiterate here.

We have seen these type of issues with other DBA rotors of this design.

We sell all our parts to work with OEM parts unless otherwise indicated. The pads will work perfectly with OEM rotors and that is how they are advertised.

We cannot confirm fitment of every part we sell with every other aftermarket part in the industry but we do try our best. DBA has changed their design of these rotors due to this issue(please see image below). The new revised rotors look like this and would not have a issue with this pad. During installation care should be taken that proper clearances are still in place when installing any part aftermarket or OEM.



If you would have purchased the DBA rotors from us we would contact DBA for you. We are still willing to do so but for any warranty an original purchase invoice is required which we do not have. So we recommended that you contact the company you ordered the rotors from so they can assist you with a warranty. If you unable to contact them we will work with DBA but it is quite difficult if DBA does not know where the rotors came from.

I do apologize for you being left on live chat unattended. That was a mistake by the rep, if he did have a meeting he should have transferred you to another rep or notified you of the delay at least. I will make sure that he knows that this is not acceptable.

We are still here to assist you, it is not our intent to make you feel like we are not here to help, but we were giving you your best option to get this handled quickly and efficiently. If you need more assistance please respond to my email and we can go from there. I will be working the Sunday evening shift this weekend so I will have plenty of time to see what needs to be done to make everything right.

Ben I have responded to your email. As I mentioned in my email, I appreciate your willingness to help me and try to remedy the situation. It wasn't until your email that there was any indication that RSD would be willing to do anything.

It wasn't until I sent an email and posted here in regards to my poor experience with one of your agents that there was any expressed interest in trying to remedy the situation. Up until that point, all you guys did was put a CYA(cover your a$$) statement on the product page stating that there would be some modification required for 2 piece rotors and sent me on my way.

The photo you posted, how is that different than what I have besides the 12 nuts appear to have changed? The red edges of my rotor are like this _/ \_ just like the black one in your pic.

Also I am having a tough time understanding why I should be contacting DBA when if you look at pads made by Hawk and other companies, they only include 2 pads that have those squeal tabs so you can place one on the inside of each rotor and not ever have to deal with this issue.

Just a let you know that I bought DBA5000 rotors from Rally and currently I have tested following pads as working ones:

1. EBC yellow stuff
2. OEM Subaru STI 2008 pads
3. Fedoro DS2500
4. Fedoro DS3000
5. Two different model from Cosworth (one like OEM and one track version - sorry but cant remember codes for those)

edit: Findurpath: I'm guessing that you have wrong pads to match you caliper. I just have one issue with my Cosworth brake kit which came with wrong pads from Cosworth and it looked just like your situation in your picture. The pads packet manufacter (AP Racing) code was correct but the code in the pads was different. Make sure that code in pads are right ones!

I am sorry you felt we were leaving you high and dry, the issue is with the rotors which we did not sell you. The brake pads are designed to have squeel tabs to let you know when they are getting low. Some manufacturers put them on half the pads some put them on all of the pads. The pads are designed to work on the stock rotors and they do just that.

The rotors you have were from an old product batch. If you look at the picture I posted the nuts and rotor hat a flush with the rotor instead of protruding out like in your picture and would not have a issue with the pads. This is why we recommend you contact the rotor manufacturer.

Nothing but good things to say about the guys at RallySport.

I've spent ridiculous amounts of money on parts from them in the last few months (Carbon Brides, injectors, clutch, Defis, harnesses, radiator, JPM goodies... The list goes on and on and on....)

Everything arrived to my door in perfect shape usually within 3 days. Several things were out of stock when they were ordered but they always got them out to me sooner than I was expecting.

Great prices, great customer service. I know I talked to Kirill, Tanner, and Rick on multiple occasions and they were incredibly helpful with all my questions. Definitely a pleasure working with them, and I plan on being a customer of theirs for as long as possible. (I'm gunna need some new wheels soon!)
