Default Who is looking to get their car tuned in the next month

I am setting up a dyno day in San Diego. I will be getting my car tuned and will need about 4-6 others to get tuned. It will be from $250-$350 for the dyno time and tuning combined. Thats really cheap. People charge $150-250 an hour for the dyno time alone, so this is a great deal. This will be held on a Saturday in 3 or 4 weeks. ECUtek can also be done for $500 plus, dynotime and tuning. It will be about $650-700 for the ECUteck completely done. I think i have two cars already but I would like to have as many as possible. This is extremely important to me because this determines if I can have my car tuned by the person I really want it tuned by. I could goto others but this guy is the best of the best.

The Tuner is Clark Turner ( AZscoobie ). He has tuned hundreds of Utecs and can do them in under an hour. I would only trust him to tune my car. I would suggest others go to him.

Clark's UTEC experience is close to if not more then 200 UTEC's tuned by him.

IIRC, an ecutek reflash is $500.

Clark's time is $100 an hour. It could take as little as 15 minutes, to over an hour to tune your car. Want a race gas map, it'll take an additional half hour or so on top of your base line run.

Clark is the man when it comes to tuning.

I am sure a tuner can do any ECU. The question is: does he have the software to tune your link? Do you need a laptop to tune your car?

It's going to be really cool to see your car fully tuned with the VF22. How much boost are you going to be running? I rode in Kyle's car a little while ago with the VF34, and it ran REALLY good! Can't wait to see what a VF22 will do.

I don't really know. I guess what ever Clark can tune it too. I got the other fuel pump you were talking about because you freaked me out thinking that I couldn't run as much boost with the other one. And then Nick researched and even called someone and said that the only difference between the 41 and 42 was the way they were designed. And that the 42 just fits better in the WRX. But it's kool, at least it fits better, ha ha!

So we'll see. I can't wait. I have been waiting for ECUTEK since the PICO - HUY fight. That's when Eichi was telling Eric and I about it and gave Eric a ride in his car. He raised his prices though so this is the perfect way to go.

Well, the design difference is that the 42 is a high pressure model and will keep flowing when when the FPR is trying to compensate for over 18psi in the manifold. This is what I was told by a Walbro Tech. See, for every 1 pound of boost from the turbo, the pump has to put out 1psi extra to compensate. At above 18psi, the 41 pump starts to lose it's efficiency and flow starts to decrease. Again, this is what the Walbro tech told me.

Anyway, better safe than sorry I always say.

I didn't know they were different, physically...

The 41 and 42 are different in that one is a direct bolt on, the other has the plugs/hoses rotated 180 degrees. Other then that, same same.

Teiva is my middle name. Pronounced 'te-E-va'

teiva is a tahitian name. Teiva was a little boy that did something good a long time ago and is now considered a god or saint or sumthin.
