Unfortunately, I'd have to say the LanEvo as well.

Great car!! With either of these two monsters we'd rule the streets!! Hehe...

I saw a Best Motoring vcd comparing Japan's top cars. The STi came in last practically every single competition. Sad..but then they say its mostly because of its bad bad understeering problem. (stock cars mind you)

EVO in a heartbeat.

The only STi that comes close to the EVO in terms of performance is the 22B.

It seems every day there is another "which is better" thread...

These things are never going to die...

I think I'll start a "which is better - playboy's PMOY's left or right breast"

lol

Let me be the voice. the inner voice.

Evo - 2nd fastest sedan in the world. Pricey. Ugly as sin.
WRX STi - Not as fast as the Evo. Cheaper. Better looking.

I dont think anyone thinks the Evo is a nicer looking car than the subie.

hey Nick,

i hate to burst your bubble, but i'd take that Evo5 over the WRX as far as looks and performace goes.

hey sl2,

i think you just got busted! that is most definately a Evo5. the Evo6 has the fogs pushed outside of the air vents. now, the Evo7 doesnt even have fogs. im still skeemin' in my mind about how easy it'd be import a evo and buy a Mirage and put the mirage plates on the Evo

Doesn't the Makinen rally-prepped edition pull off 0-60 in something ridiculous like 3.3? That hands any Impreza (including a 22B) its @$$ on a plate... sorry dudes

Yes Richard! I love your 22B Honestly, I don't own even a subie yet, but my heart is set on one. I love the EVO as well, but the Impreza is number one to me, all thanks to the WRC. If it wasn't for Speedvision and the FIA World Rally I wouldn't really know what the Impreza is about, but I know it's a great car. Give me a few years, I'm waiting for the STi, and, well to graduate from University first(2 years left!).

Richard, that's actually why I like Evo more than Impreza - I can more easily fit 5 or so of my rather large friends with all their backpacks and other stuff. And when I don't drive them around, I can let it rip - in the same car. Ah, dreams..

its nowhere near 3.3 secs for 0 to 60 for an EVO..

Very, very, few street legal cars will get anywhere near 3 secs 0 to 60 although my other car will.

Oh and handed several Evos their A$$ on track

rsquire - I said rally prepped, so I thought people would assume not street legal. Oh yes, and about your sub-three-second "RS"... Nevermind.

I wasn't referring to an Impreza RS but a 1986 Ford RS200, which has 570 bhp, 470lb/ft torque and weighs around 2300lbs.

I have timing slips which show 3.06 0 to 60 mph. The fastest one ever was an Evolution version, this had 680bhp. When it was driven by Stiq Blomquist he achieved 2.8 secs 0 to 60.

I was reading TOP GEAR magazine from th U.K and they said that the EVO has the shortest braking distance of any car that they have ever tested. That includes a McLaren F-1 and a Ferrari F360 Modena, and the new Porsche 911 Turbo

is it really bigger? I mean here in N/A a 4 door mirage is SMALLER than a 2 door impreza, from the outside and inside dimensions..and definately the back seat...
(currently driving a 4 door mirage)

and AFAIK, the EVO is essentialy the same body as the mirage (in size and dimensions)
