Cool Our next SE Michigan meet must be when it's warm!!

I had a great time yesterday guys, but next time we need to do this when it's warm outside so we can check out each other's cars without fear of losing appendages!

It's too bad we kida got split up there also. Sorry we didn't have room for you and your girlfriend JP$, we had no room to grow!

Thanks again to all those who came out.

Fred

I think it should be in a less chaotic place too. I didn't even get to meet some of the people there. I still had fun though. Everyone seemed really nice, some people even liked my 5" exhaust tip. Maybe next time we can find a place where we can all park together. I think one of the personally highlights for me was watching Brian get beat by a Mustang on the highway going home.

yeah i suggested that next time we physically rope off na area... the first two people wrap some nylon rope around some trees and your spoilers
of course in the warm weather ALL the civics would be out and not just a couple
On a side note, it's my scoobies first day at work.. i work in a high school, and a student just came into my office like "do you know who's impreza that is? it's awesome!" made me happy.

Thumbs up

Steve's idea sounds great! Just what I was thinking. Anybody know of any good parks? Parks that are less uptite than the Metroparks.

Metro Beach (the one on Lake St. Clair as far east as you can get on 16 mile road) is not very uptight. They have a huuuuge parking lot, and lots of green grass, volleyball courts, grills, etc. I think it would be a perfect place.

Where's Waterloo? Isn't that where Napolean lost?

Seriously though, where is it? Is there a lake?

Lets have our next meet at the UP! We'll make a weekend of it.

Stoney Creek National Park. Its on 26 mile rd. just west of The Van-Dyke Expressway. Thats out in Shelby Township... east and north of the suburbs. (i know, we're going in the complete wrong direction of AA here...)

Well, Hil (my GF) and I went shopping for a while and then everyone had gone home, so we played a few games (the Dance America thing was cool) and went back to EMU. I drove 200 miles that day!

I've been part of 2 car-club picnics at Stoney Creek, for Redline Motorsport. We had one in August, and one again in October. Both were a blast, great food for cooking-out, nice view of the lake, plus there are bike trails and an 18 hole Disc Golf course in the park for anyone interested. (Discin' is cool!) The best part is, there are about 25 diagonal parking spots in a row up against the grassy Hill where the barbeque is located. SO we could all park our Scoobies in a row and look at them while we eat and talk and run around.

My vote is for Stoney Creek in June. I'll organize once we get around to June.

Thanks Fred for organizing this last meet, it was nice to see some friendly Subaru faces again, even though only for a short time.

See you all later!

Stoney Creek it is! For my vote that is. I like Stony, and if they were cool with the Redline people, they'll definitely be ok with us.

Well I missed out I was late. I found all the imprezas parked through out but when I went in to Gameworks the lady said subaru meet what subaru meet and than said the big group that was in earlier left already but after the fact I found out it was some other group. Same happened to a few other guys I bumped heads in the parking lot with. Anyway my hotel is always dead on the weekends and has huge parking lot and lodge so this is almost always an option unless we have a big group coming. So keep that in mind. Also I will keep everyone posted about the Hodges WRX meet. Test drives here we come.
John,

EDIT did anyone get pics? I got a few but..
JOHN+CHEAP CAMERA = Bad pics

John,
I guess we should have told the lady at Gameworks we were the Subaru group....sorry. We were probably there when you were if you saw the cars outside. What time did you show? We were in the restaurant untill after 5.

I didn't see anybody taking pics either. It wasn't a good photo op since the cars were not in one big group.

Next time we'll do it right. I guess the mall on a Sunday afternoon isn't a great place for a meet.

Just wanted to chime in and say I had a good time. It was cool meeting all of you. This is my first Subura and I am clueless when it comes to cars so I learned alot from just talking to other car enthusiasts.

There's a couple of nice Metroparks off N. Territorial Rd, out Dexter/Ann Arbor way.

Please not the park on Lake St. Clair. Isn't that the one where the beach is closed all the time (seagull poop or something?) :-)

Cool

OK, it's apparent to me that we are going to have to form two factions in SE Mi. East and West. We can have rumbles to see where we hold our meets. We'll be like the Cripps and Bloods! We can flash gang signs and have drive-byes......or maybe 4 wheel drift-byes!

...but seriously folks. We'll figure it out. Summer is a ways off. I still vote for Stoney Creek.

Oh yeah, about the contamination that used to plague lake St. Claire, it's not sea-gull poop. It was raw sewage being pumped into the Clinton River. Thank you Clinton Township!

I had my camera with me (I take a ton of pictures), but we didn't have any of the cars together...and it stayed in the trunk.

Thanks for setting this up Fred, had fun, but would like a place where I could actually MEET you all. Oh and I don't think Gameworks will want us back after they saw what my son did to their floor
