Wow....we're truly one in a million!

The day I put my keys into another Impreza I thought was mine.....well, that won't happen coz the '02 year will be out!

You guys hear about the lady who found her red Civic full of teenagers? She pulled out a gun and told them all to get out! They ran like hell. When she got into her car, she realized her keys didn't fit into the ignition! Apparently, her car was parked two spaces over!

She went to the police to confess about her overzealous mis-deed and the police officer suddenly started to laugh. In the next desk, there were 4 scared teens reporting about their car be car-jacked by an old lady!

This was emailed to me.....so it could be an urban myth or a true story!

Do you think that Subaru would've equally spilt production between sedans and coupes for 2000 models? Then it would be 2945 sedans and 2945 coupes...

I remember back in college when i discovered the key to my 78 Civic opened about one in four like cars. I discovered this one night when i was going back to my car after having been at a friends place and got in and looked around and said wow this isnt my car?!? And there were light blue little civics everywhere back then

Jim: that's a good question. Anyone have solid #'s on that? I seriously doubt its an even split between coupes & sedans though; i see far more coupes than sedans running around & at dealers. Us sedan owners have the rarest of the rare!

Just email SOA and they will run a #'s check. Remember folks, these #'s are for US only, this does not include Canada.

They'll actually be selling 2001's at a faster rate than 2000 models, but the all-new 2002 Impreza will be released early next year, so that will probably take a bite out of 2001 sales.

When I bought my '99 RS the sales manager at the dealership told me that only about 500 RS units were being shipped to Canada. For exact numbers though, someone should email SOC.

Hey, at my school somebody bought a Silver Sedan 2.5 R.S. and I thought it was mine. I like how low the production numbers are, but they seem a little low.

About the 78 Honda that could operate other cars, isn't this also true with the 80s Saab?

Yea... Imprezer, right after I bought my car, I remember visiting your "old" site (when Robert had his own site as well). I saw the number 911 and I thought "wow, that's pretty cool". Mine is also a 99', Silverthorne and # 1005.

I guess I got mine just in time. '99 Rs #2010 of 2140. Boy, I ordered the car in Feburary of '99, and took delivery in April. I thought that was early, but I guess the model year thing is kind of offest because they were available in '98.

Do you guys want to start a serial number registry? Mine is 911, hehehe. Go figure if it represents 9-11 fast or 9-1-1 emergency.

5890 is a couple of water molecules in the bucket compared to typical sales volumes! I wonder how this compares to Ferrari and Porsche sales? The numbers for Canada must only be in the 100's. I wonder why they predict over 1700 fewer sales for 2001?
