I dunno, it sounds like the writer is just reiterating rumors that we've already heard before. Esp "Expect a fairly conservative compact body-style, with traditional Subaru styling cues such as the trademark hoodscoop, and a modest rear spoiler." Sounds like they wrote this before the they knew what it looked like. Conservative styling cue? I've heard the new styling called everything,...but conservative? A coupe version? Why aren't they offering this in Japan or in the Land Down under? Again, it just sounds like they are regurgitating rumors. Ahh but what do I know? I'm waiting for SOA's annoucement. Mmmmmm 22b Sti...Oooooo! Rumors, Rumors Rumors. The wait is killing me.

Then the writer mentions "coupes and sedans" coming over. IIRC, only sedans are coming over, right?

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. He probably writes about all kinds of articles on different cars so I think we know more than him.

Even in Japan there are no coupes only sedans. Why am I so sure you ask, well The new World Rally Car is going to be a sedan thats why.

They have not made a coupe version in the new body style so it's impossible to say we will be getting a coupe. The rally car is built on a production car so thats why it will also be sedan.

How could you guys miss this? (lower on same page)
"But the geeks just couldn't stop with the tweaks and Ford's heavyweight flier has been timed by numerous reputable sources in the high-13s, hits the skids at 0.85 Gs (not far off the Maclaren F1, by the way), " Mclaren F1 owners:Watch out for those F-150s on your tail at Willow, because they have a blower and fat tires! Sorry, but I must set my phaser to stun on that one, before someone gets hurt... Sheesh! [This message has been edited by socal2.2 (edited September 28, 2000).] |

Yea, I noticed that bit about the Lightning and the Mclaren. Its nice to know I can get close to F1 performance and save about $965,000. All in the 4000lb pickup truck package
. Ha, what a bunch of BS, its magazine writers like this that make rice boys think skid pad numbers are all that matters when talking about handling. To even imply that the lightning would handle close to the F1 is blasphemy. |

You think that Maserati looks bad, I saw one in a parking lot that looked like a mini-van or a PT-cruiser.
It was quite a disturbing sight! |
