Smile Too many sightings: This is killing me!!

Okay, this is killing me. I've seen 3 RS's today between Poughkeepsie NY and Stamford CT.
The first one was a Sedona Red about 7:30 this morning traveling from 84 East to 684 near Brewster. I'm pretty sure there was a woman driving, but it was foggy.
The next was on the Taconic northbound at Aurtursburg road. I was parked waiting to turn left, and a Rally Blue RS flew by.
And the third was a white RS parked at Denny's on rt 9 in Poughkeepsie.
Anyone here?
Oh, and yesterday I saw a Silver RS, lowered and with aftermarket wheels on rt 9 as well.

For some reason, I see at least 1-3 RS's a day in the above mentioned locations. Although I see some of those cars over and over again, I'm sure I've seen about 10 different cars total (EDIT:in this area).

I know somebody here must have been driving in at least one of my sightings!!

ive seen so many its starting to disgust me, i saw a 70 year old woman driving one, i prolly gave her a heart attack when i went speeding by her on the shoulder with my intake growling and i missed 4th gear. she had friggin necklaces hanging on the rear mirror and a christian emblem on the back.

there are three that live on the same street as me a green 98, a silver 00, and a blue 00.

i see ATLEAST 3 different ones a day, only modded ones ive seen around my area is a white 99, but i think he only has stickers all over it, and seans turbo, he works next door to me, and his car is fast as $#@!, going to lunch in it in 30 minutes when im sure ill see a few more rolling around town.

Funny, I stopped seeing them down here when I got mine. College town has a fast turn over rate I guess.

I just talked a friend of mine into an L. She says the front end & hood on the RS is too ugly, LOL... Still though, I'll be glad to have her in a car with a little better grip over the winter.

Tom,

Well, if that wasn't you in Norwalk at B&N, then there's another that you might bump into..

I now see a Sedona Red coupe on Rte7 everyday. It's driven by an older woman..no, recognition when I waved.

tonyb and I pulled next too each other on Rte7 last week... I think if you see his blue RS with the yellow accents stickers and seriously loud exhaust..you'll know it.

So, there are a couple more that are in our neck of the woods..

If you're tired of RS sightings, move to So. California. I'm lucky to see 1 every 2 or 3 months. I was driving my wife's 96 Outback the other day and got a wave from a guy in a new dark green Outback, and he said "Nice Car!". I've never gotton a wave from any RS even when I do see one. You see about 100 Ferraris and 1000 Porsches for every RS.

I like the fact that we are seeing more out on the roads. It means thats one less freakin Integra/Civic I have to look at. I guess I just dont consider myself part of some exclusive club because of the car I drive.

I see a lot of RS's here in MN. Mostly, though, they are driven by old couples. They get scare if you drive up to them and wave heheheh It's a shame MN Subaru club ain't as active. Wait, I think it's because I'm asian that's why I never get updates
No prob...love my subie anyway.

I haven't spoken with too many of the Kansas City-area Impreza drivers, but it doesn't seem as if there are too many of 'em out there.

Once in a while, I see a silverthorne or an older rally blue pearl, but other than those two, I rarely see another RS.

In fact, I don't even see that many other Subarus. Even the Outback Sports and the Legacy wagons are a rarity.

I live right across the river from Poughkeepsie and the RS population is a dime a dozen here. As for other subies, its not uncomon to park in a lot with at least 12 others. I see about 1 SVX every 2 months, the same 2 XT's everyday, and a Brat about once every 4 months. Gl/DL wagons are as common as the outbacks I think....maybe a little less though. Outbacks/foresters/Impreza wagons (not sedans) are the money makers here. Within a 8 mile radius of my house I have 2 subaru dealers. One is in Kingston and the other is in Rhinebeck. Pretty cool.

Someone here in Eugene wrecked thier SVX last week. The news had a story on the accident, a pickup pulled out right in front of the guy. Blamo! Everyone walked away I think. The dealership in town here has a SVX for sale too. Dark silver. Wild looking car.

ok, i just went to get a coffee and in the parking lot of the coffee shop was a rs, so i sat outside for a few minutes and this old lady carrying a cat in a cage walks up and puts her cat in the back of the rs and jumps in the car, drives off at like 2mph through the parking lot. that pissed me off

then on my way back home i saw a silver coupe fly by me, thought that was cool

then i saw another old lady pulling out of the grocery store. now i was really pissed.

i see more older ladies driving rs's than younger males (altough i dont have a problem with younger females driving em), makes me feel like i bought a grandmothers car,,,, until i step on it and hear the intake growl.

Only seen maybe 10 in a year and a half. Yeah, a coupld of them I've seen twice so that's really only say 8 individual ones. Spotted a MY98 Blue one the other day and the woman driving it couldn't have been a day older then say 324. She had the same coloured hair as the car. ROTFLMAO. Well not right then in the car but after I got to work.....

-Rez

I just saw this one and I gotta put it in here....

Hey The1one4ever, don't you pull that crap on me about nobody doing anything in MN. Just today I send out an e-mail to Subaru-MN people asking how come nobody is talking about the RoadRallies (TSDs) that are coming up in the next 6 weeks, and pleading for a navigator.

We agreed with Michael to do Il Diavalo on 11/04 together. However, my invitation still stands for:

10/28 - SCCA LOL - Tombstone Trail Rally
11/11 - SCCA LaX Halloween Rally
11/12 - SCCA LaX - Red Eye Rally

Look at the bright side... if you owned a Civic or Integra... you would be more frustated.

I saw 3 integras within 2 minutes while driving today. I must see like 50 Civics a day!

At least other RS owners are polite and wave to me.
