Hi Everyone,

A number of people have expressed an interest in a magazine for the RS (and Subaru in general). If anyone has an article that they would like to see in print (or re-printed) that you have written, please let me know. I am also looking for pictures of cars with their owners. I want to make this a personal magazine. I think that it's great to see a car, but who is the person behind it? What did they go through to get their car to this point? I want to know the story behind the car. Please either e-mail me (projectrs25@aol.com) or send me a PM. If you have any questions for me, let me know.

I'd be interested in articles about the following:
-History of the Impreza and Subaru in general
-History of Prodrive and the Subaru World Rally Team
-Regular updates of rallying (with a slant towards Subaru, but covering the overall events). And not just the world rallies either, North American rallying should also be covered.
-Tech articles about Imprezas. Anything from simple articles about adding a trunklight to complex topics such as adding a turbo or transplanting an Ej20.
-How about featuring an owners car every month?
-An update on any TSB's or recalls.
-"Subaru Roadtrips": stories about trip ideas that you can take with your Subaru (like heading out to a nearby ProRally?)
-Articles on driving tips (winter driving, dirt driving, how to run an rallycross, etc)

These are just a couple of ideas...

it sounds like orbit03 wants a subru only rally magazine.... sure a subaru owners mag sounds good, but do you really expect to sell it?

stewartg2000 - Yup.. a lot of people already said they'd buy it including myself.

BTW, how about covering a members car or two? Maybe one or two a month. I know there are a few people's machines that I'm intersted in reading more on like ARG, Imprezer (when done), Joel Gat (when done), or TMR Impreza.

Trey Cobb would be a great interview, Imprezer would be a good interview as well since he has watched the Impreza crowd evolve.

A reader's ride set of pages (2 facing each other) would be pretty killer for those of us who wouldn't be qualified for full articles.

To respond to 8Complex...I would like to have the magazine totally revolve around the members of the club and owners in general.

I think to get the total number of readers up, we should cover the entire Subaru line-up (SVX, Legacy, Forester, Outback, Justy, etc) but with a focus on the Impreza. I am sure that there are readers that would like to have their cars covered. Do I think that I would be able to get as many subscriptions as a SCC?...no, I don't. But that's the point. I'm not trying to make money off people. I just want to help everyone that currently has a Subaru. No one covers our cars with any true regularity (except SCC)...so why not do one ourselves? If you want to drive a Honda/Toyota/Mitsu/etc...that's your deal...I like Subaru and I want to know more about them, I'm sure everyone else does too. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you.

It does sound like a Subaru version of JP. Which is one of my favorite mags. I'm definitely in for a subscription.

edit: Will this mag be tri-monthly or monthly or ?

How about covering some local autocrosses, and such events, maybe people can send in regional event scheduals or something.

Oh hey... gotta get a pic of Imprezer taking his rental Forester to Thunder Hill (I think this weekend). That'd be a great addition to it for sure.
