Default Looking for JDM Tails source

I've been away from the board for a while now, so I'm not current on everything here.

Do we have a source for getting JDM BG Tails? I already have the center section.

TIA,

As it seems most people want to sell them as a complete set, I have been without much luck. But, I have only the lights, not the center section. Is yours smoked or clear? We might be able to work something out if we find a complete set here..

Of course, I only want a rust free center section.. I have enough headaches with my nicely rusted piece and it not unlocking when I want it to.

Cool

Speeeeeeed!

How is it that you wound up with only the tails? You wound up pulling them before I figured out that I couldn't afford 'em?

But, yeah. That could be a great deal. My center section is clear. There is some minor breakage in one of the corners -- I've patched it, but it's not pristine. Be forwarned, if the UPS guy is gonna drop the package, it's gonna drop on the pointy end.

Let me know... I'll work with you.

Cuz the bastards only had broken sections at the yards, or none at all. The Legacys weren't easy to find in Okinawa.

May have to hit up yahoo auctions.. it's more likely to find a complete set anyways. I still have a few I can hit up for some purchasing power back there.. and with more incentive now too.

And yes, I went ahead and pulled them. I figured I'd be getting a BG anyways..

edit: Although.. I *AM* going back to Tokyo this summer.. hmm.. I can't use my tails without the center..hmm.. I could use some money right now.. hmmm..they ARE in perfect condition..hmm..

Oh no.. the hamster is a runnin!

Me three!

Obviously a common injury. Mine did repair up quite nicely tho. You REALLY have to look for it.

i have the jdm bg9 smoked side lights available if someone wants it... my center section broke in the mail and i don't want to lose another $120 to risk another one

it's really hard to find an undamaged center section because i'm told it dosen't come off that easy from the hatch

I just caught that bit. The rusty section with the handle is not part of the center light assembly. The light goes over it but they are seperate.

The unlocking prob is caused by the handle not fully returning after you have realeased it. If you hit the area with some lubricant and work the handle back and forth it tends to remedy it for a while. I has also toyed with replacing the spring but havent tried it as the lubricant usually works for about 6 months.

It is seperate? On my '91 it was all one piece, so I figured it'd be the same here.

Yea, I've put some WD-40 on it, but it didn't work for 6 months. Just a few months, maybe 3 at best. I'd rather just get a new piece though, than have to deal with it.
