The SVX may be the successor to the XT but its not old school, it uses the current generation parts.

SVX is old school, in that the model line is not carried anymore.

Close, but not quite. It's actually aftermarket.

Any chance that an STi motor could be swapped into an SVX? And how much should I expect to pay for an SVX these days? Ive been dying to ask this question, thanks for any answers!

You wouldn't by chance know where to get one? I wonder how it would look on a GC8.

$2500 - $12000

Depending on the year, mileage and maintenance state of the SVX. Actually, you can purchase a 1992-1993 model in decent condition for anywhere around $2500 - $4000. Not too bad for what the car has to offer. Just steer clear of the ones with tranny and wheel bearing problems. It would be great if they were already tended to on the one you purchase.

Are you planning an N/A buildup on that car? You'd have a bunch more followers and could probably start your own religion at the SVX Network site.

Hello Mike,

I need an up-pipe, down pipe, header for the up-pipe, and a good size turbocharger for my XT6. Do you happen to have these things lying around?

Oh yeah I got em right here in my back pocket!

PS: Had someone offer me $7500 for the SVX this week, told him $8500 was as low as I could go. Then I searched for something in the 9-10K range to replace it with, and couldn't find a single car I liked in there! I think I'd replace it with a 3rd gen 740i or 740il but that's about it and those are around 12K right now.
