What are Tein Flex Locks?

Tein Flex are coilovers.
What are you calling locks?

"locks" probably isnt the correct terminology to use. But I am talking about the pieces that adjust the springs height and keeps the seats in place.

AH!
There is a wrench that grips the notches in the sides of those things.
The bottom one has two, you tighten the upper one of the bottom ones to relieve the tension on the lower one, then you unscrew the lower one and then move the top one to adjust height.

I don't believe they will slide over the bottom knuckle though.
So either completely unscrew the knuckle, or you may have to remove the top nut, the mount, and the top spring seat/ring, and take the spring off from the top if you want to change it out.

Hope that helps.

yah I already tried doing that but for some reason they would not move at all. I guess Im not all that strong but the since the locks are aluminum they chip off as well.

Do you have them off the car?
You can put some good oil on the shaft threads and let it penetrate.
If they were on the car a long time, cleaning out the threads with a brush might be a good idea.
You may find tightening the top of the bottom two a little to release pressure on the bottom one might be needed,

It may be a good idea to take it off your car and check to see if you have any pebbles or large chunks of dirt wedged in between the collar and the spring seat.

I had this problem before when I had Ground Control coilovers on my old CRX. Hope that helps. There's really no point for you to struggle with it while it's on the car, since you can't even tell what's causing it to stick.

I live in the city as well, so I can take a look at it to see if I can help you out if you like. Just reply with a phone number, and I can call you. I should have some free time tomorrow afternoon, or Sunday.

That's fine. Guess it'll have to be Sunday, since I am playing golf in the morning and you are working in the afternoon. I'll call you to see when you want me to attempt to fix the problem with your coilover.
