Looks like Cobb is going to be our new Prodrive

Awesome. I wonder what all the special things they did to the car are?

I remember reading that a few dealerships in California that teamed up with a tuner company to provide dealer "prepped" Civics. And the dealers would not void their warranty...they would in fact install the parts for the customer... It's about time the pendulum swung back toward out way!

Chris, I thought all Honda dealers carried the DC Sports Civic. It's a regular Si with DC exhaust, intake, special bodykit/wheels, & a fuel rail. Fully covered by the warranty.

But seriously, a Cobb Impreza would be the modern day equivalent of a Yenko Chevelle or something!

Not unless there's a turbo or some internal engine mods... Don Yenko creations always had engine options you couldn't get stock.

Impreza 2.5RS Stinger?

There should be some kinda internal mods from the looks of the Cobb website. He doesn't seem like the type to slap an intake and a sticker on a car to make it a special model.

Its a very cool idea. I am anxious to see the particulars too.

Can Cobb WRXen be far behind?

I sent the dealership with the Cobb Tuned models at it some questions. Has anyone here purchased a Cobb Tuned Impreza? Can a Cobb Tuned Impreza get the Stage II power package, cobb throttle body, cobb cams and cobb cylinder head on it? That would blow my mind.

Not to dis on Trey, but could the thing really be that impressive? I'm willing to bet it would be worth more as a collector's item than a 1/4 mile beast. The AEM civic wasn't that impressive either. Anyone have more specs on it? It's exciting to see factories getting back into hop ups, even if it is "outsourced".

Well, for that price (750 above MSRP) what would you expect. It would be neat however if they did offer the stage 2 power package. But the pieces on the car will not do anything to the warranty, which is probably why it is so "Mild".

The AEM civic at least could be had with big brakes, suspension, exhaust, and a real intake. All under warranty.

I remember seeing that the COBBtuning RS came with:

Intake
Stromung Exhaust
Cam
Rear sway bar
strut bar
rear spats
front lip spoiler
gauge pack?
I'm pretty sure about these, could be wrong.

Ther are no internal mods on the Cobb car. The only engine mods are a Stromung and intake.

Eric.

If he put cams, it would definetly voidthe warranty. If not, I would put them in my car.

Thumbs up

Lets see, I love Huffines so much, I'm there on a weekly basis, showing off what I have done to the car, and yakking with Chris.

It has the new Borla's on it...Ver 5 wing...painted skirts....cobb alignment...badass bridgestone's.... adsjustible struts...stromung echaust...springs...cobb's new cold air intake...engine and tranny mounts...cobb's big brake kit...short shifter, and i assume it will have a better clutch as well.

Fella's we're looking at the mother of all cars to buy right of the lot... all the person who buys this would have to do is swap the cams, and work on the ECU...nothing left you could do and leave it N/A

But it will not have an ECU or Cam mod (warranty)

Well yeah...that would void the warranty as well!

I've seen this car... its pretty cool...oh yeah, they powder coated the wheels black and really tinted out the windows!

I suggested they do the brake calipers in a color, I suggested red or white and do the front badge in the same color

Looks like its gonna be on the showroom floor on saturday... (tentatively)
