Strange request: Want to test fit a baby seat in a GC8 coupe

I'm seriously considering a GC8--WRX conversion and have been looking for a GC8 sedan, with little luck. I have an 18-month old and this is mostly why I want the sedan. Seeing how tough it is to find a sedan, I may have to go the coupe route. Sooooo, anyone have a GC coupe in the Sac area that I could test fit a baby seat in? It would only take maybe 15 minutes or so.

Help a brutha out. Thanks!

you could try it in my coupe, but im in the bay area, and the fronts are racing seats. but if you must try it, and your looking for putting it in the back, your welcome to drive down here

IMO, I would just get a sedan. 4 doors is one reason I got my WRX. I gave up my Integra coupe (purchased new and modded) after I got tired of flipping the front seat forward while it was raining and manuvering my daughter into the back seat. It really starts to become a hassle (remember that properly adjusting those baby seats in a car that doesn't have LATCH is a pain).

My wife has a CR-V so even though she has 4 doors, it was just easier for me to get a 4 door too.

gr8-wrx: So the GC doesn't have LATCH like the WRX does? That's really convenient. I was mostly concerned about the hassle of getting her back there all the time like you were saying.

You can try it in my 00 Coupe RS/WRX Conversion. Basically its the exact car your wanting to make.

I live in Lincoln so its not too far. I will be home all weekend. (School Work from CSUS) so you can come over any time and try it out.

I work with a gal who drives a GC8 coupe with a child's seat in the back. I don't know how she has it set up, but I know it fits because I have seen it in the back of her car.

No need to ask her, she has mentioned that it is kind of a pain to get her boy in and out of the car. Especially now that her son is getting a bit heavier and she is pregnant with #2. She loves the car, though, and is unwilling to give it up.
