Default Leaky Trunk issue in 97 leg

i remember reading a post a few weeks back about a guy having a moldy/musty smell in his trunk b/c he said he was getting water back there. i now know what hes talking about. we had a significant rain storm recently, and i popped my trunk and everything, like underneath my trunk lid was soking wet. thank god my subs are back far enough that they were untouched. does anyone else have this problem? or the person who had this problem b4 ever get it solved?

Phil

I didn't have this problem in the Leg, but I did have a chronic water leak in the Impreza...

After much searching, it turned out to be one of the nuts/ bolts holding the spoiler had worked loose somehow.

I replaced the nut, added a rubber washer, and no more leak!

It's something to check out.
