Default Anyone have Drag wheels on thier car?

I am gonna be buying a set of wheels and tires for my car. I am looking for an inexpensive brand wheel more for show than performance. I plan on buying pretty good tires and just want some decent wheels. I was looking at Drag brands because they are cheap and I plan of using them only in the summer. Or is thier any other brand in that price range that would be better? Thanks

Did you end up getting these? What did you think? I ma thinking of getting some DR4's in silver for my silver '05 RS. You can find info on www.dragwheels.com Supposedly they're only 17 and they're strong too. They are copies of the Volk CE28N's. I can get em for $299 + $95 shipping.

$299 for the set? That would be incredibly cheap.

I haven't found any specs on them though...can't seem to find much about them on their website either.

Do you feel these are junk wheels? Why? What experiences have you had? Obviously I AM trying to stay away from junk wheels, thus, your comment doesn't help without some explanation on your part. I expect from your elipses (...) you were going to go on and explain, right?

Yep, $299. I haven;t found specs either except, look at the "media" link on www.dragwheels.com. It says the DR-09's are 17 lbs. The ebay ad says those are a 17x7 5-100 40 offset, which I think is too low an offset for our cars, right? A 48-53 offset would be better, I think.

....wheels that cheap make me nervous....there is a reason that they are cheap.....do YOU want to figure it out....the hard way????

A great many here use Rota wheels.....and have very few complaints, overall...spenr a LITTLE more and get better wheels.

....the 'DRAG' wheels may be ok for a show car....but even if they are structurally OK, what might they look like after 20k miles????

Thanks for the warnings, but you're really not telling me anything I don't already know. I'm looking for someone with experience with Drag wheels in particular. I'm very familiar with Rota wheels and think they're fine, but I want a differnet look.

....I have been here a LONG time and I've never heard of them but this time and maybe one time before.....that either means that they don't make many that fit Subaru's....or....they are pure junk....

Take your pick.

jeebus, I'm so sick of knock-off wheels. Can't anyone be original anymore?

You can be original with your money, and I'll buy a latop AND some knockoffs with mine. How 'bout that? Anyway, I'm just trying to get some info before I purchase.
