Question 225/40-18 or 235/40-18

I'm planning to get PFF7 18x8 on either one of these tire size for my STi, which size is better or any ideas? BTW, it will be used only during summer months.
225 vs 235, how the handling compare?
Is it even noticible? Pls give me some thoughts. Thank U.

If it helps at all the stock STi tire diameter is 24.97", a 225-40x18 will be about 25.09", and a 235-40x18 will be about 25.4".

I'm running 225/40/18s T1-S' on my PFF7s and they've been great so far. They'll get their real test this weekend at the Subaru Challenge

Wider is better, but the increase in diameter will cause the Speedo to read slower that the speed you're actually moving. Even worse with the 235/40's

225/40r18 is already larger than stock in overall diameter. If you absolutely need 235, try 235/35 instead.

Larger diameter means you'll have taller gearing, and that may hurt your acceleration a bit. The car also sits slightly higher off the ground too.
