Default High pitched wistle at high RPM when under boost.

Today after about 6k when under boost say on a WOT 3rd gear pull I head a high pitched wistle above the normal wine of the turbo. Boost is not changing when it happens and I had already been at 1.19-1.2 bar since about 4k. The wistle when it comes on is not instantanios it starts to come on at 6k and gradually gets louder on the way to redline. I don't really hear it in 1nd and 2nd, but the motor goes threw the RPMs pretty quick there. But WOT in 3rd and 4th at 6k and above it is there.

I checked for leaks, and every thing seems good. Maybe it is just the turbo, I have a TuboXS shorty so I get the whoosh of the air coming in as well as the normal turbo wine, maybe it has always been there and I just never noticed. But after a year and a half you would think that I would have noticed it before.

Check for cracked blades in the compressor.

But it does sound like a hose leak. If it were a "psst psst psst" sound that would indicate an up-pipe leak. but a solid higher pitched whine is typical of a hose leak, or a cracked compressor wheel.

I will do that. The hose on my V2 TXS top mount is a little short and it on the compressor outlet just far enough to clamp on so it may be there. The other thought was the blow off valve. I had it off about a month a go to install a GFB one that did not fit. To use the GFB I had to reuse the recirculation concetor from the stock one. When I put it back on the stock valve I may not have gotten one of the screws tight enough. It looks to be screwed down tight but at high boost/high rpm when I am moving a lot of air it maybe there is enought pressure for some to start to slip out.

How would the compressor wheel of gotten cracked? Heat?

Well I guess I will take the I/C off this weekend and check it all out. Ugg hate taking that I/C off the core weights a ton, my back hurts just thinking about it.
