Default Help me decide....HTR+ or SP 5000

Hey Fellas,
Its about that time when I will have to begrudgingly say goodbye to my beloved RE92's!!
I am looking for a fairly priced all season tire, that will outperform the RE92's in every category. I have narrowed it down to Sumitomo HTR+ and Dunlop SP 5000's(225/50 16)
I live in RI so I need something that will get me through the snow reasonably well, but still grippy enough to have some fun in the summer time!
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Eric

I have had both tires and they are pretty similar. The SP Sport 5000 is better, but only just so and also costs more. Both tires will be great for your purposes.

There are more than a few of the NW members that really like the SP 5000's for its performance in wet, dry, and the snow.

they are both good tires but, the 5k's will out perform the HTR+'s. The 5000's also have much better steering response

With the extra $100 dollars you will save with the HTR+s, I would buy 5 of them over the four SP5000s. IMO, but I love these tires, and Since I'm in NY-LI, your weather is my weather! My 2 cents! Good luck,...both good choices!
