Going home last night on a wide open expressway (4 lanes each way, really windy day) was an adventure
I can feel my RS being real wiggly in the wind. At times I feel if I dont hold on to my steering wheel tight, I just might get blown into the next lane! I went home and checked tire pressure (35F 33R). I had this problem too in my bug-eye RS as well before I sold it. Both cars are stock. what can I do to improve this? lower the car and put wider tires on?

lowering the car would prolly help you a bit but I'm not sure if the wider rubber would do anything at all.
You prolly can't do much to avoid it though, but I could be wrong. |

Have you checked your alignment lately? Many times a "bad" alignment can make the car "darty" on the highway, a windy day would aggrevate this problem.
Also what mods have you done, is your rear bar larger? If not a larger bar should help. And if you are on RE92's...yeah those might have something to do with it! ![]() |

Try a higher tire pressure and see if it helps. If my car is at that low of a pressure, it feels squirmy in the wind, or even during hard cornering... like its not "secure" with itself

My car sucks in cross winds. Wider tires won't really help - wider tires (on my truck at least) just track imperfections a lot more.
Bumping the tire pressures up slightly might help. Try throwing a Yakima rack with a bike and fairing on top - then drive in the cross wind. ![]() |

Lower it, put an STi wing on it, P1 lip, and open your windows and sunroof.
