Default Just installed my Morettes - questions

The car looks thoroughly evil now (they're half painted). Install went easily once we realized where the OTHER reciever on the passenger side headlight was, for the long cable that runs from the driver's side. Doh! Definitely never, ever bolt stuff in until it's wired right!

But two questions...

-Neither one of the lines are perfectly level, i.e. the "----" is not parallel to the ground... is this something I can fix with the adjusters or something that I need to resolve some other way? (ignore the *'s)

-Is it normal for the passenger side to go up and to the right further than the driver's side? Is this just the E-code projectors' way of lighting up road signs?

Anyhoo - I am pretty sure I have the height either right, or a little low, based on where the cutoff falls on the rears of car's I'm behind. But the crookedness I'd definitely like to fix.

Thanks!

i've noticed that with my orciari lights that if i am not on a level surface. Shining the lights off of a level, verticle, wall that it looks liek the horizontal isnt straight. so it may be an optical illusion that u are experiancing.

as far as teh allignment mine is somethign like this (Periods are for spacing)
....................... /
..........._______/
______/

i deliberatly set the left light lower to stay outa incoming traffics eyes and the right light higher to throw light farther down teh road. It also looks damn sexy on garage doors imo

Sorry it is a little hard for me to understand the diagram.
The bend in the light pattern should be in the same relative position from the center of the low beam. To illustrate the dot below represents the center of the low beam lamp and the beam of light itself as it bends..In regard to the straight parts they may not end up being exactley the same , but should be close.

Hrm, I guess I just need to figure out where the left/right alignment is on these things

BTW - is it normal that the little light inside the high beam enclosure is on all the time?

Yes the little light is the parking/city light and will go on with your parking lights.
Here is a thread from the other day that should help you with the adjustment-

Sweet, as the resident Morette expert I knew you'd chime in eventually

The parking/city lights I don't entirely understand... I don't get what they do that the low beam doesn't. Just a Europe thing?

This is disconcerting though; of the two white-capped ones that are at the top of the back of the low beam, we were adjusting the white one with the tiny grips on it, i.e. a very small ^^^^^^^ pattern. The left/right adjustment one is the 6-sided black screw then? Gonna be a bit of a pain to adjust these!

thanks!

The city lights are the equivalent to the parking lights in your stock headlights. They are wired to the parking light circuit and don't provide illumination, just act as markers. It's just unusual because they are located in the high beam housings.
The capped adjusters are only used in the versions of Morettes with leveling motors, which are not sold in the US. They should be left alone and the only adjusters you need to turn are the two uncapped ones.
