Talking Hey Lowball - look what I found!

Lance,

I just found these in the back of my truck. 4 boxes in all. What should I do with them?

I couldn't wait so I opened two of them. This is what I found. Can I keep the red ones?

I don't think they'll fit under those stock wheels Dan!

Here's a thought - how about you drag your arse over here and help us install them? That way you won't go home with something new installed and give your wife another reason to hate me!

If you're free there will be a mini-installfest at my house - most likely Saturday after I recover from Firday night, err, I mean after 12:00!

I know you want to show some love for the other Black Wagon.....

I guess, mine would actually be the other, other black wagon. But hey I am not picky. Red or Black Calipers are fine with me..

Are you guys going to have an installfest tomorrow? Let me know because I want to put my new rotors on (and probably new pads too) and I don't have a c-clamp to compress the pistons.

Wait, you need a c-clamp for a rotor install? I need more info, really... Im going to upgrade to wrx front rotors here sometime and want to do it myself... (dan never mentioned this to me! )

If it is just rotors, you don't really need it if the thickness doesn't change much. For new pads, you need something to push the pistons back into the calipers so the thicker pads will fit. I'm not buff, so I can't use my fingers

Does a C-clamp = just a screw type small clamp?

Steve,

You actually need 2 c clamps or 1 c clamp and a bar with the 2 pot calipers. If you push one piston in, the other one comes out. You can do it by hand, but it's much easier with some clamps.

Alan,

I've got a couple of clamps and you're welcome to come by. Lance should be there by 1:00 or so.

The mini-installfest is on!

Go karting at Golfland and then driving home in your WRX is not adviseable. I wanted to drift every corner on the way home!

I owned the track on Round 1 because I had a fast car. Matt and Kevin were driving two seaters and got lapped by everyone.

Round 2 I picked the Subaru go-kart. It was seriously lacking in power, but it did drift nicely.

Despite the bumping, pitting, and t-boning, they didn't kick us out!

I'll post some pics tomorrow morning of the monster brakes!
