Default wastegate problems

I already posted in the conversions forum but I figured that u guys have these engines as well.

I just did an engine swap using a 93 legacy 2.2 turbo engine and put it in a 95 impreza. I am having trouble setting up the hoses on the wastegate valve. If anyone could find a picture of theirs or a diagram it would be greatly appreciated.

Also the engine cuts fuel when I press the pedal past a certain point. It doesnt shut the car of but it feels like it stops all fuel to the engine. Any help is greatly appreciated

James

Sounds like you're hitting fuel cut. You get fuel cut at 13 psi. Do you have a boost gauge? Are you using a MBC?

There is 3 hoses hooked to the stock boost control solenoid. The bottom one goes to the intake resonator box before the compressor inlet.IIRC the middle one goes to the wastegate valve controller and the top one goes to the nipple on top of the turbo. hope this helps.

that helps a lot thank you.

I also have a question as to where the vacuum nipple on the intake manifold goes. I plugged and the car worked for a while.

If you're talking about the one on the front passanger side of the intake manifold it goes to the pressure exchange solenoid. It should have a T in it that goes to the purge solenoid valve #2 also. If you run a boost gauge this is the line you will T into. I'll post a couple pics sometime today to help you out.
