Post Guess who's back???! Anybody else seen this?

http://www.rimmersuperchargers.com/subaru.html

I wonder if anybody here has tried the new kit. He switched manufacturers. It says it only works on the 2.5l. I wonder why not the 2.2l. Tough call keep my 99 OBS and add this kit or trade it on a new WRX Wagon.

What new kit? That page has stayed that way for at least the last 7 months.

Has it? I guess it's been a while since I checked. Wasn't he using some other brand of supercharger before? I remember reading that he stiffed a few people.

Yes and yes on both of those.

Rimmer was using an Eaton M62 but has since switched over to the Autorotor (forget the displacement but i know it's a version 2).

No word from Rimmer as of recently about the MY00/01 capability, though. I may give them a call (if they have a number) and see what they say.

Just talked to someone over there (long conversation as well) and found that they were still active and making the kits. They "solved" the MY00/01 problem with a voltage clamp and FPR (or would you call that using someone else's fix?). Supposedly they have a 3-4 week lead time and need 50% down, but he said they need to get caught up before they take any more deposits.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, though, this was all the information I just got from him. Personally I'm not looking into the kit for myself, I'll probably go turbo now, but this is just an FYI for everyone out there.
