Exclamation Want a free New Age Impreza video from SOJ?

This just came up in the "I am old here!" thread and I thought it needed to be brought to everyone's attention. Thanks to Hanzo for finding this. Just fill out the following form, and apparently you will receive a video about the New Impreza in 3-4 weeks.

http://www.newage-impreza.com/form/form.htm

The following is for those w/o a Japanese translation plugin. You should be able to figure out what to do from the following.

Name
Date of Birth: Year - Month - Day
Sex: Male - Female
Zipcode
Prefecture (since we don't live in Japan, this is irrelevent)
Address Line 1
Address Line 2 (be sure to say USA!)
Telephone number
Job: ??? not really important
Email Address
Car Make (Subaru is the first choice) - Other Make (fill in if you own a Delorian or something)
Car Model (write Impreza) - Model Year (2000 is first listed. The bottom is 1984 or before)
Safety Check (starts with 2000, probably some Japanese standard. Not important)
Buy Plan (not important) - Buy Time (not important)

Click the left button to submit, right to reset.

Hehe, I saw a Delorian the other day - the license plate was "OUTATIME"

P.S.: Thanks for the info... I THINK my order went through... after submit I got a red outlined box on a white background with a red image to click that took me to the main page.

Actually there's Delorean on sale in my town. I am quite tempted to stop by.... that was like 2 weeks ago. Think I can stuff a blender and make it go thru time?

You think that they would pay all the yen to send all these Japanese lanugauge videos to English speaking Americans?

I wonder if SOA will have a similar deal (I admit that would be less novel)

Dont get me wrong, I do want one-just curious.

Won't a video from Japan be in PAL format, unreadable by US VCR's? Sorry, I just remember something about that from researching DVD players...

DeLorians are underpowered paperweights. They are so heavy and lanky to drive.

Dan,
The Japanese use NTSC-J, which is close enough to our NTSC to work without a hitch. PAL is mostly used in Europe. I know this...I've got a Japanese Dreamcast connected to my TV.

Great link! Any idea if it's available in NTSC, or only the japanese video format (PAL or SECAM?)?

There is no Japanese translator plugin, he means plugin so you can see the Japanese characters instead of all the boxes.

I ordered mine, we'll see when it gets here...

So I submitted my name... now I want to know what:

この度はプロモーションビデオキャンペーンに
ご応募いただき*りがとうございます。

プロモーションビデオの*送は、先着30,000名様をもって 終了させて

means.... does it mean they gave out 30k copies and don't want to give out anymore?

The "jibberish" you refer too are actually japanese characters that aren't showing up in your browser correctly. It means you do not have the right plug-in to render those characters.

Japan is NTSC so there shouldn't be any problems with it...

I got a free music CD of pretty rockin' music by registering on the Nissan web-site to receive literature on the 2001 Frontier pick-up. This was a couple of weeks ago - don't know if it's still available.

There is no problem with the video. I have already seen it and it's awesome. I just need to get my own so I don't have to keep going over Hanzo's house.
