Post Any experience w/ open scoop and snow?

Hi
Pretty soon it's gonna be snowing up here in Buffalo and I was wondering if anyone have had their scoop open in snowy regions. I was thinking if it snows overnight and accumulates alot on the hood and then start the car in the morning then huge chunks of snow might melt and get into the engine bay instead of flowing back over the intake like water.
So do you think I should be worried?
As always thanks for any and all advice.
Jon

I really doubt you're going to have to worry.... I have EVERYTHING off the intake on my 2000 except the stock filter box... we've had torrential downpours the last 2 days, and there isn't a drop of water near the opening, and my scoop is open.

I live in colorado, and haven't had much trouble with rain or snow other than a dirty filter. I keep an extra stock airbox piece around just incase of blizzrds. I think it's just a wise idea.
