Thumbs up Wheels have arrived!

My new wheels arrived Monday afternoon. I'm so tweaked!!! I am definitely a happy camper.

I originally ordered the 16 x 7 Raceline RL-7s in Anthracite from SPD. Mike called back the next day with an "Uh-oh". Unfortunately they were not 16s, but 17s.

Luckily he had a set of 16 x 7 Speedline Comp 2s in silver just waiting for a good home. The picture of the white one on his site doesn't do these wheels justice. Very nice in silver.

I did weigh them. 18 pounds. They feel lighter than what the scale says. But, I'll take one of my originals in and weigh it to compare. 16.5 was what someone posted a while back, right?

They even have "speedline" cast into a spoke. Too cool. Even the wife is excited about getting these on the car!

Travis, or Geoff, can either of you post the two pictures I sent you? I'll get a site up one of these days. Thanks!

I will get pics after they are on the car. Of course, I'll have to wash it and wax it too.

Adam

Thumbs up

Thanks Geoff! I appreciate it! I'll get those things mounted soon.

Gotta find a shop that won't pull an "NTB" on these new wheels!

Question

Just wondering, weren't there a couple of people on this board with bent speedlines? Out of round after 6 months?
Might be that I mistake them for another wheel, but they were from SPD.
Nice wheels anyways!

Question

Hmm, that's interesting to hear. I'll have to do a search on that topic. I don't remember it coming up.

After talking to Mike, I got the impression that the Racelines (RL-7) were stouter than these Speedlines. But, both are stronger than the factory wheels. Both styles do weigh more than the factory wheels.

I'll probably end up running these as street wheels anyway and keep the original ones for race tires (eventually).

Dayam! It looks very much like the stock Canadian OBS wheels minus the speedline word.

Actually, they look a lot like silver TE37s (the shape that is)
