Question Diecast Subaru Model Questions...

Anybody buy the new 1/18 scale 22B and WRC cars from AutoArt?
http://www3.autoartmodels.com/

I sent them an e-mail about two weeks ago and no reply. I'll send them another one tomorrow, but don't know if it'll do any good.

Anyone know if these are available through another source?

Are these only available through AutoArt?

I'm itching to get these, but don't even know how much they are!

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Adam

I talked to a guy who owned a supply store in vancouver about 2 moths ago. He said he would get the models in within 2 weeks, and then e-mail me. I e-mailed him for about 1 month after he said he would e-mail me. Either the 1/18 22b is hard to get, auto art still hasn't come out with them, or the guys was a *****face. I don't really know what the point of this story is, i guess i'm venting. But if you find some, tell me.

Unhappy

I am also waiting for the local hobby shop to get these in. I'm guessing AutoArt still hasn't distributed them over to the U.S. yet.

The last time I was at EWA, they told me they would be getting the Auto Art cars. I can't remember when though. Maybe contact them. http://www.ewacars.com/

Cool

I got the 1/18 Panoz model at the Portland LeMans races and it is awesome, especialy after you figure out how the hood and rear section opens! I paid $59 for the Panoz and would expect the Sube to be about the same since its the same series. The detail on the panoz is incredible. The seat and steering wheel are done in a matte finish that looks like some kind of suade (sp?). Anyway, my .02.

FYI - I did some searching and found a shop in Florida that listed the 22B for $44.95.

I called and their response was that they haven't been released yet. Supposedly they were to come out around June. Now they are coming in October. So, basically they'll get here when they get here.

Bummer. I was hoping to add some character to my little collection.

Just got off the phone with the U.S. distributor for AutoArt Models.

They will be unveiling the 1/18 Subaru models at the Chicago model show in October.

They should be available by the 15th.

EWA should be carrying them as well as Collect Model Cars in Florida - http://www.collectmodelcars.com/

I'll be tracking them and keep this thread alive with updates.

I pre-ordered my 22B with RepliCarz around Christmas time of last year. I think it will be here near the end of October. www.replicarz.com Good prices, good service. They have several die cast rally cars, including Subaru and some plastic model kits too.

Cool! I took a look at the Replicarz site. Nice! I'm going to pre-order my 22B now! I may even pick up the 1/43rd scale one.

SubieGal, is that a picture of the AutoArt model? I have only seen a bad copy of the box art. Very nice!

Thanks to you both for the info!
