They should be fine. I'm running Cusco or mine. Only problem is the rear strut is short for GC8 and camber kit is different (but if you're talking about lam's, it won't be a problem since he's selling with STi top hats)

Are the topmounts with them for a GC8? If so, the rear topmounts arent compatible with the BD/BG. The BD/BGs use a different rear topmount bolt pattern from the GC/GFs.

I need to edit that post above for clarity.
What I meant to say is that if the mounts(STi or otherwise) with the coilovers are the ones for the GC chassis, the rear mounts wont work on your car. That is easy to remedy though by either getting the rear STi mounts for your car and popping them on the coilovers or using you current rear mounts on the coilovers. ss |

Thats in some ways a tough question to answer. If you use your stock rear topmounts, yes, the coilovers should bolt right up in your car.
Will it "work," in the sense of work well, is kinda another question. I would try to find if Tein offers a seperate model for the Legacy and see how it differs from the GC model in terms of lengths, spring rates and damping. I would imagine it will be close. I would probably make my decision on cost to experiment. ss |

BTDT - The GC8 top mounts (strut tops) are DIFFERENT in the rear than the BD/BG Legacy.
If you are buying suspension from a GC8 that comes with top mounts, you need to get the DMS WRX adapter plate to make them work on your Legacy. GD/GG WRX rear top mounts and BD/BG Legacy have the same bolt pattern. We tried using the stock Legacy top mounts with my DMS 40s but they would not work due to the upper spring perch configuration. As far as spring rates, etc of course the GC8 is a 200lb lighter car so theoretically the suspension is not optimized for the Legacy chassis. In the real world I don't think this matters much, just be sure you want the harshness that comes with coilovers if the car is also your daily driver. Good luck, Bill |
