Default Oil Light on at idle

So,

I am looking at this 91 Turbo Legacy.

Oil light is on at idle, car runs fine otherwise, a little clicky. And needs a few other cosmetic, and brake type stuff.

So, do I order that block from the local wrecker, or pull it apart and replace all that is toast.

car has 250K Kms

Car runs fine above 1500Rpms

This is a silly question, but did you check the oil level?

A little more info will be needed...

Oil level is fine, I plan on changing it and the filter to make sure the filter is not plugged etc.

I'd get the oil pump resealed or replaced...

probably the o-ring on the oil pump, that and/or the screws holding the backing plate on have backed out.

Either way you'll need to get at it. to fix it.
