Unhappy Still No Subie :(

Well, it's been over 2 months now. I went and visited my poor RS at my body shop today. Still torn all to pieces, waiting on parts.

It's been so long since I've driven my RS that I am beyond missing it. In fact, I'm freaking USED TO driving this POS automatic 2K Plymouth Neon. Man, talk about torture.

I will be moving into my new house this Saturday. I was really hoping that I'd have my subie back before I moved in. But, no such luck. I guess I'll just have to park the Neon in the driveway; 'cause there's no way it's making its way into the garage.

Anyway, just needed to let out a little sadness. I guess my situation is still better than Rajah's though--he is really getting screwed. So, I should be thankful that my car was not totalled out.

Later,
Jeff

Where are they getting the parts from? I'd call SOA and give them a little kick in the ass...

Jeff, Jason: Sucks about your cars. I know exactly how you feel I waited 4 months for mine. I was subeless the entire summer/fall (July 17 - December) At least you have a rental. They took my neon back after 30 days. You can take mine for a spin if you want. Are you coming to the autox this Sun?

Hey Duncan,
Sorry I didn't call you back today--ended up being a really busy day. I'm not going to be able to make it out Sunday, I'll still be moving into my house. A ride in your RS sounds like fun though. You should come out to my house after the AutoX. You could check out the new place and take me for a spin.

Or, uh... better yet... what are ya doing Saturday... You should come out and help me move and then take me for a spin. Hmmm... is that too much to ask?

Jason, any news with you? Have you called a lawyer yet? And what are you doing Saturday?

Jeff, I settled w/o a lawyer. It wasn't great (they gave me 50% of the cost of the mods) but at least it's better than nothing! My new MY00 RBP RS is on it's way! 3rd week of July (yeah right).

I'd love to come and see your new house, man! I'll be leaving Ohio on Saturday though, bound for CA. I won't be back until July 9th. I can't stand not driving my poor poor RS! At least I'm no longer in a Neon, a friend of mine is lending me his Caddillac STS (ghetto glider) At least it's got 200HP.. just a *tad* more than your lovely Neon

See ya fellas

Nope, I mean what I type and type what I mean. This Caddy has 200HP. It's a 1990 (or '91) STS.

I've already ordered the RBP RS, but thanx for the offer!

Jason, I was up at the dealer getting my 30k service and talking to Jim Gray. He mentioned your car and how you ordered another through him. He said they might have one sooner. They might get one off allocation or something. Good luck

I've got to work Saturday morning 7-2. Jeff, give me a call that afternoon (403-1385). I'd like to see your new house.

That 30k was expensive, $278 with tax, I eliminated the rotate/balance, and replacement of airfilter and sparkplugs. Still need to get an alignment. Performance Align can't do one this week . I wanted one for the autox Sun. My check engine light came one too. They jokingly hassled me because the readout said I was doing 82mph when it when off . It looks like they will have to drop the whole tank out and replace all the seals and hoses . This is the like the 6th time it has gone off. Twice this past week. It was reset Thur and went off again Mon.

Jeff, when do they expect the sheetmetal to come in. My insurance company told me Subaru is the worst manufacturer at getting parts. My parts took two months

Jason,
Cool. That's not too bad. Glad you were able to get 50%. Have a good time in California!! Give me a call on my cell when you get back.

Duncan,
They really have no idea when it will all come in. They told me that Subaru was horrible as well. If I have my car back by mid-July, I'll be surprised.
I'll give you a call Saturday afternoon. Maybe you can come helpe me put some furniture together and stuff, and then we can play some ping-pong or something.

Later,
Jeff
