Talking Suspension Installed!

Finally, I got my suspension installed! Much thanks goes out to a bunch of the NESIC guys, who came to my garage day to help out.

KYB GR-2's with Whiteline Control springs, STi top mounts in the front. Everything feel so much better. Way less body roll, better dampening. There's no longer any unsettling feelings as you begin a turn-in into a corner. Much less floaty on the highway, too.

I'll put up some more pics after I resize 'em.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the pic. That helps me confirm something I already suspected about my car. I think my springs may well be sagging. Did you take drop measurements by any chance?

That ride height is just about where my car is now on the stock springs. I like that height, and I'm glad to know thats where the WLs end up.

Looks good

Very nice. Is there a reason you went with the GR-2 instead of the AGX? Does your car see the track alot?

My car never sees the track, so I had no need for the adjustable AGX's. The GR-2's are cheaper

And if I do decide to auto-x or something next season, this setup would be fine...

I did not measure drop, but the car seems like it is sitting just a little bit lower. Maybe 3/4"?
This was just done, so I expect it to settle a touch.

The drop looks very minimal to me. When did you take the pictures? Whitelines have a tendancy to settle a lot so I'm wondering if these were taken right after installation. Anyways, hope you enjoy them.

Tire size as shown is 215/45/17, which is .3" smaller diameter than the stock 205/55/16.

There is definately some drop; it's too bad I didn't have my camera around for a "before" shot. I'd guess the change, prior to any spring settling, is about - 3/4."

That's about right then KD. Mine dropped only about half of the full amount upon installation, the rest was mostly after about two days of settling. I was also using stock shocks which would have let it drop a touch more probablt as well. That and the combination of using the 215/45's. You should notice a little more drop by tomorrow. Maybe snap some more pics with full drop.
Anyways, looking good. I'm awaiting GR2's and H&R's for my car in the next couple weeks. I'll post pics when I get it.
