Sorry, Subapooh, but Director is a multimedia creation tool and GoLive is Adobe's HTML editor. Neither can process video at all. Try Terran Interactive's Media Cleaner Pro. Nothing gives you more options for compressing video files and get the best mix of quality and size.

Just a suggestion, get a digital camcorder and Pinnacle's DV-10 firewire capture card. It kicks much butt, and is falling off a log simple to use.

Post OT: Mpeg video clips

I see so many mpegs floating around this UBB that are good quality and around 1 Meg of space. Anytime I try to capture video onto my Matrox G200 I end up with 15 megs of less-than-adequate video. Whats wrong with me?

Capture to MPEG or AVI format, and then drop it through an Intel Indeo Codec within a video editor like (edit: After Effects and Premiere) <-- i'm out of it today, honeslty!

Indeo is by far the best for non streaming video, imho.

Jump on over to http://www.vcdhelp.com/ and follow the directions for encoding for VCD Format. This will create high quality MPEG files that are suitable to burn to a CD in VCD format and play on a DVD player.

From there, you can also mix down a lower resolution MPEG that will take up less space on disk. I'm in the process of mixing down all of my race footage for you guys. See the camera in the back?
